Whether you are currently working with elder clients in their home or at an agency, these courses will help you understand the basics and provide you with a solid foundation in home care and elder care. At the end of these modules you will have a better understanding in the following topics:

  • Managing challenging behaviours, like confusion, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease
  • Providing personal care, such as bathing, toileting, and other personal hygiene issues
  • Feeding and nutritional issues
  • Pain management
  • Pressure ulcers and wound care management
  • Physical injury protection for yourself and for the client by preventing falls and transferring people with mobility issues
