OUR PHILOSOPHY
There a trend towards patients and caregivers becoming empowered to achieve a healthy outcome, not only through choice but out of necessity because of shrinking health care budgets. Health care professionals from pharmacists to medical specialists can all benefit from more informed and motivated patients and customers and should encourage patients become more knowledgeable and consumer oriented towards health care.
Mediscript books are unique, innovative and practical. They do not overwhelm the patient with voluminous content and technical terminology, they provide the essence of what a patient needs to know to help themselves get better quicker.
Health care professionals use the book as an educational treatment option to save time and empower the patient.
Dr. Guide books are carefully designed to enable the patient/reader to appreciate the importance of the health condition and develop a readiness to change behavior or adhere to treatment.

THE MAN BEHIND THE MISSION
Ken Watts
CEO/Founder
Born and raised in Liverpool, England, Ken grew up with a competitive streak that helped him win chess tournaments, took him to the top of every class (except metal-work), and eventually landed him in pharmaceutical sales, where he quickly rose to the position of marketing director.
After immigrating to Canada in 1975, he broke from the corporate world and established his own medical publishing company in the mid 1990’s Mediscript Communications. Under this imprint, he wrote and published some 80 self-help titles dealing with allergies and asthma, relaxation and stress, wound care and many others.
Although he had much success with his business, along with setbacks, it was never the money or status that counted with Ken; it was always the satisfaction of bringing complex medical terminology to the every day person.
His motto is Audentes Fortuna Juvat – Fortune Favours the Bold.
